Refurbishments
Following the refurb at Eaton Tavern it was time to give the adjoining Bottlemart drive-through and bottle shop a refresh, including raising the ceiling to better accommodate larger vehicles. Given Bottlemart was to stay operating we split works into two stages, first attending to the bottle shop refurbishment with demo, steelwork, new ceilings, walls and doors, glazing, fencing, flooring and fitout. For Stage 2 on the drive-through we carried out demo, siteworks including relocating two soak wells, concrete footing and tilt panel walls, roof frame steelwork, roofing, ceilings and walls, roller doors and finally painting. The results are polished and accessible, with fantastic functionality for both customers and staff.
OFFICE FITOUTS
The solution for a busy and growing team in an existing office space? A thoughtful refurbishment by Changing Spaces, of course, including the construction of a small yet polished boardroom, two sound-proof quiet zones, and a functional open plan work area fitted out with sit-stand workstations. The results have given WA Primary Health Alliance plenty of space and light to continue their great work.
COMMERCIAL BUILDS
Nixon chose Changing Spaces to transform a vacant block into its new modern Bunbury premises, including a 600sqm shed and 190sqm of offices. The complete office fitout includes staff rooms, reception, disabled-compliant toilets, boardroom and more, all cohesive with Nixon’s branding.
Refurbishments
This previously unused tavern and sports bar was well overdue for a refurb, and we were pleased to be entrusted to build out the designer’s supplied vision. Our dedicated trades set to work, complete with expert project management and help from our trusted subcontractors as needed. Eaton Tavern now features an epic arcade area and play area for the kids, function area, outside beer garden and a dream sports bar – complete with the largest beer font in WA.
COMMERCIAL BUILDS
Storage units always require a high level of functionality and forward planning, and this client turned to Changing Spaces for their new build. We tailored a plan, obtained the commercial building permit, and got started with earthworks, stormwater drainage, asphalt and curbing. We worked with Outdoor World Bunbury to build the sheds and install doors, then our team completed electrical work including conduit for phoneline and future power to each unit. Finishing up with power to the auto security gate, roller doors and LED lighting, these modern storage units are now ready to store and provide smooth, secure access for customers.
REFURBISHMENTS
This heritage-listed building conversion involved transforming an existing bar into modern consulting offices and treatment rooms. Supplied the plans to work with, we executed all construction aspects including installing a glass lift into the reception area, extending the mezzanine with jarrah floorboards, and completing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, flooring, glazing, painting, and joinery work. We also attended to the external carpark to address drainage issues, with steps including earthworks, soakwells, bitumen and line marking.
COMMERCIAL EXTENSIONS
Little Explorers Daycare had a shaded patio, but this space was calling out for an extension as demand for the early learning centre grew.
Changing Spaces was brought on board to project manage and complete the process from start to finish, including construction of the extension and the addition of a hand-washing station, storage and children’s toilet facilities. As the extension was completed while the daycare remained operational, we worked with careful adherence to health and safety protocols on this project.
Bar Fitouts
Bar 31 is situated right alongside Koombana Bay’s pristine waterfront. This industrial automotive ‘dive bar’ was a lot of fun to bring to life as we worked to the client’s supplied designs and delivered a full bar fitout. The finished venue features some beautiful details including a custom concrete bar, bespoke copper bar shelving, acoustic wall panelling and polished jarrah floors.
COMMERCIAL FITOUTS
ZINC Wellness is a new wellness centre based in Treendale. We partnered with this client from initial design through to completion to ensure a high-end outcome aligning with budget. Our scope included full concrete works, insulation, electrical, lighting, plumbing, plastering and doors. We helped this client navigate complex compliance requirements due to ZINC’s classification as an aquatic centre, and coordinated smoothly to work around the portions of work the clients chose to self-manage. As you can see, the final result is polished, luxurious and energising. The LED strip lights we installed throughout have elevated the various spaces and reflected the modern wellness therapies available including hyperbaric oxygen therapy and infrared saunas.
COMMERCIAL FITOUTS
Eaton Vet needed more space and functionality for its furry patients, and an unused garage space provided the potential. We planned out this project in three stages to allow the practice to stay operating, delivering an expanded extra surgical theatre, a larger imaging area, extra hospital space for patients, a third consult room, and a new laboratory.
Our team handled this entire project, from joinery and plumbing to painting and electrical.
Commercial Fitouts
Changing Spaces was tasked with the implementation of this pharmacy renovation project based on initial design concepts provided by a Perth designer. Our team coordinated and executed the complete fitout including demolition, flooring, cabinetry, electrical work, and signage. Due to the pharmacy’s high traffic, we carried out works with a three-stage construction approach that allowed continuous trading throughout the renovation.
REFURBISHMENTS
Bunbury Forum engaged Changing Spaces to construct brand new centre management offices and refresh an outdated toilet block. With the toilet block including male, female and Universal Accessible toilets as well as a parents’ room, we were pleased to be able to bring both beauty and function to these ablutions. As Bunbury Forum trades seven days a week, we worked with the client to accommodate access and noise requirements to deliver these high-quality results with minimal disruption.

From an empty block, to 90 modern storage units ready for use. We helped Storewest bring its new self-storage location to life in Picton East, with the Changing Spaces team completing earthworks, shed construction, electrical, plumbing, fencing, security, painting and signage.
